The Best Chest Workout

I was at the gym this morning at 5:30 AM. This is a regular thing for me now but it is not natural. The natural thing would be to sleep until my body was rested enough to wake up. That would be some time next week.

For the past two years, I’ve been working out regularly with Brent at Iron Oak Fitness. They offer in-person training in Charlotte, NC and online training everywhere else. I can’t rave about them enough. Seriously. You should check them out. The accountability of a trainer has made all the difference in my workout and diet.

Today was a chest day. Ok, this may not be the end-all best chest workout ever but it’s what we did today. Do it for yourself in the gym or hire Brent to help you so you’ll have perfect form and great results. We also did core and triceps today but I’m just going to list the chest workout.

Warm Up: Light Cardio

Bench Press: 3 sets, 10-12 reps, weight appropriate for you

Dumbbell Incline Bench Press: 3 sets, 10-12 reps, appropriate weight

Dumbbell Incline Fly: 3 Sets, 10-12 reps, appropriate weight

Dips: 3 sets, 10-12 reps, body weight or use dip machine to reduce resistance as appropriate

Standing Cable Fly: 3 sets, 10-12 reps, appropriate weight

I think that’s it. We mix it up to build results and to keep things interesting but this is a great workout.
