This is a Food Network recipe that has many five star reviews. It uses basic ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen or are readily available in your local supermarket. This is a low fat and low carb recipe. The use of a lettuce leaf as a wrap really cuts down on the carbs. There is a little honey and brown sugar but you can cut back on those too if you’d like.

Crisp, fresh lettuce is key to this recipe. It calls for iceberg lettuce but we used red lettuce. I think Romaine or any other big leaf lettuce would work. The main stem of Romaine might be too hard to fold without breaking. You might consider making that the middle of the wrap (kind of like a boat) and then wrap the leafy part over the middle.
Fresh shaved carrots, bean sprouts, and chopped cilantro add a colorful dimension to this recipe. Add them on top of the turkey filling, wrap it all up and ENJOY! YUM!
